CONSULTANTS

A consultant is a person who is not employed in any capacity by the St. Paul Public Schools and is hired as a coach, intramural coach or volunteer coach.

These non-district employees must complete a packet of informational forms and a Criminal Background Check prior to assuming the position as coach. This packet is available from each school's athletic director and must be forwarded to the District Athletic Secretary in a timely fashion so that the application and background check may be performed. There is a one-time $20 processing charge that will be deducted from the coaches end-of-season stipend. Volunteer coaches will not be charged this fee. Also in the packet is the I-9 Form (Eligibility Verification), a St. Paul Public School Personnel Information Form, a W-4 tax form, and a direct deposit form. All must be completed and signed by both coach and athletic director.

It is suggested that athletic directors keep a copy of each consultant's application form on file.
